In my case - I've just installed lights and they work without any additional coding or adapting.

I didn't have door handle illumination - I've added a new one (for test, one at front doors and other at rear), do the wires by myself as described before and it just worked. So that's not true that illuminated door handles are needed...

Door illumination at front doors has the same - as warning and entry lights, + from pin 6 (32 gray connector). At rear the - is the same also but + comes from pin 1 (16pin brown connector).

I really don't know what is going on with your wires. Try with the front doors. Also check bulbs at rear - perhaps one of them is damaged...

Yesterday I measured 2,3 and 6 pins on left rear door and these pins are without power.

Can I ask you, do you have door handle lamp?

Because I have read on some deutsch A4 forum, that door handle lamp is needed to work red and white lights on doors.

On front doors I have modules with Audi Part Number '8E1 959 801 E' and '8E1 959 802 E'.

On rear doors I have modules with Audi Part Number '8E0 959 801 A' and '8E0 959 802 A'

I found, that

For front doors: Pin 13 (+), Pin 21 (-) on doors module

For rear doors: Pin 2 a 3 (+), 6 (-) on doors module.

But if I use these pins the door lights dont work
